# Sahih al-Bukhari 2.23.404 — Funerals (Al-Janaa'iz)

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ نَعَى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى أَصْحَابِهِ النَّجَاشِيَّ، ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمَ فَصَفُّوا خَلْفَهُ فَكَبَّرَ أَرْبَعًا‏.‏

## English Translation (Muhammad Muhsin Khan)
> Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (p.b.u.h) informed his companions about the death of AnNajashi and then he went ahead (to lead the prayer) and the people lined up behind him in rows and he said four Takbir.
