# Sahih Muslim 7:1898 — The Book of Prayer - Friday

## Arabic
وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ، بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ كَانَتْ خُطْبَةُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ يَحْمَدُ اللَّهَ وَيُثْنِي عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ عَلَى إِثْرِ ذَلِكَ وَقَدْ عَلاَ صَوْتُهُ ‏.‏ ثُمَّ سَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمِثْلِهِ ‏.‏

## English Translation (Abdul Hamid Siddiqui)
> Ja'far b. Muhammad said on the authority of his father: I heard Jabir b. 'Abdullah saying that in the sermon of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) he praised Allah, lauded Him (and subsequently said  and raised his voice, and the rest of the hadith is the same).
