# Quran 10:27 — Surah Yunus (Jonah), Verse 27

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَسَبُواْ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ جَزَآءُ سَيِّئَةِۭ بِمِثۡلِهَا وَتَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةٞۖ مَّا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۡ عَاصِمٖۖ كَأَنَّمَآ أُغۡشِيَتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ قِطَعٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ مُظۡلِمًاۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

وَالَّذِیْنَ كَسَبُوا السَّیِّاٰتِ جَزَآءُ سَیِّئَةٍ بِمِثْلِهَا وَتَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ مَا لَهُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍ كَاَنَّمَاۤ اُغْشِیَتْ وُجُوْهُهُمْ قِطَعًا مِّنَ الَّیْلِ مُظْلِمًا اُولٰٓىِٕكَ اَصْحٰبُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِیْهَا خٰلِدُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Wallazeena kasabus saiyi aati jazaaa'u saiyi'atin bimislihaa wa tarhaquhum zillah; maa lahum minal laahi min 'aasimin ka annamaaa ughshiyat wujoohuhum qita'an minal laili muzlimaa; ulaaa'ika Ashaabun Naari hum feeha khaalidoon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> But those who have earned evil will have a reward of like evil: ignominy will cover their (faces): No defender will they have from (the wrath of) Allah: Their faces will be covered, as it were, with pieces from the depth of the darkness of night: they are companions of the Fire: they will abide therein (for aye)!
