# Quran 11:40 — Surah Hud (Hud), Verse 40

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَمۡرُنَا وَفَارَ ٱلتَّنُّورُ قُلۡنَا ٱحۡمِلۡ فِيهَا مِن كُلّٖ زَوۡجَيۡنِ ٱثۡنَيۡنِ وَأَهۡلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ وَمَنۡ ءَامَنَۚ وَمَآ ءَامَنَ مَعَهُۥٓ إِلَّا قَلِيلٞ

حَتّٰۤی اِذَا جَآءَ اَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّوْرُ قُلْنَا احْمِلْ فِیْهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَیْنِ اثْنَیْنِ وَاَهْلَكَ اِلَّا مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَیْهِ الْقَوْلُ وَمَنْ اٰمَنَ وَمَاۤ اٰمَنَ مَعَهٗۤ اِلَّا قَلِیْلٌ ۟

## Transliteration
Hattaaa izaa jaaa'a amrunaa wa faarat tannooru qulnah mil feehaa min kullin zawjainis naini wa ahlaka illaa man sabaqa 'alaihil qawlu wa man aaman; wa maaa aamana ma'ahooo illaa qaleel

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> At length, behold! there came Our command, and the fountains of the earth gushed forth! We said: "Embark therein, of each kind two, male and female, and your family - except those against whom the word has already gone forth,- and the Believers." but only a few believed with him.
