# Quran 11:53 — Surah Hud (Hud), Verse 53

قَالُواْ يَٰهُودُ مَا جِئۡتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٖ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِتَارِكِيٓ ءَالِهَتِنَا عَن قَوۡلِكَ وَمَا نَحۡنُ لَكَ بِمُؤۡمِنِينَ

قَالُوْا یٰهُوْدُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَیِّنَةٍ وَّمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِیْۤ اٰلِهَتِنَا عَنْ قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِیْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Qaaloo yaa Hoodu maa ji'tanaa bibaiyinatinw wa maa nahnu bitaarikeee aalihatinaa 'an qawlika wa maa nahnu laka bimu'mineen

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> They said: "O Hud! No Clear (Sign) hast thou brought us, and we are not the ones to desert our gods on thy word! Nor shall we believe in thee!
