# Quran 16:115 — Surah Al-Nahl (The Bees), Verse 115

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡمَيۡتَةَ وَٱلدَّمَ وَلَحۡمَ ٱلۡخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيۡرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦۖ فَمَنِ ٱضۡطُرَّ غَيۡرَ بَاغٖ وَلَا عَادٖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ

اِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَیْكُمُ الْمَیْتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ الْخِنْزِیْرِ وَمَاۤ اُهِلَّ لِغَیْرِ اللّٰهِ بِهٖ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَیْرَ بَاغٍ وَّلَا عَادٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِیْمٌ ۟

## Transliteration
Innamaa harama 'alai kumul maitata waddama wa lahmal khinzeeri wa maaa uhilla lighairil laahi bihee famanid turra ghaira baaghinw wa laa 'aadin fa innal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> He has only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and any (food) over which the name of other than Allah has been invoked. But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- then Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
