# Quran 16:26 — Surah Al-Nahl (The Bees), Verse 26

قَدۡ مَكَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَأَتَى ٱللَّهُ بُنۡيَٰنَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلسَّقۡفُ مِن فَوۡقِهِمۡ وَأَتَىٰهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ

قَدْ مَكَرَ الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَاَتَی اللّٰهُ بُنْیَانَهُمْ مِّنَ الْقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَیْهِمُ السَّقْفُ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ وَاَتٰىهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَیْثُ لَا یَشْعُرُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Qad makaral lazeena min qablihim fa atal laahu bunyaa nahum minal qawaa'idi fakharra 'alaihimus saqfu min fawqihim wa ataahumul 'azaabu min haisu laa yash'uroon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> Those before them did also plot (against Allah's Way): but Allah took their structures from their foundations, and the roof fell down on them from above; and the Wrath seized them from directions they did not perceive.
