# Quran 16:58 — Surah Al-Nahl (The Bees), Verse 58

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِٱلۡأُنثَىٰ ظَلَّ وَجۡهُهُۥ مُسۡوَدّٗا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٞ

## Arabic (IndoPak script)
وَاِذَا بُشِّرَ اَحَدُهُمْ بِالْاُݥ ظَلَّ وَجْهُهٗ مُسْوَدًّا وَّهُوَ كَظِیْمٌ ۟

## Transliteration
Wa izaa bushshira ahaduhum bil unsaa zalla wajhuhoo muswaddanw wa huwa kazeem

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief!
