# Quran 16:59 — Surah Al-Nahl (The Bees), Verse 59

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
يَتَوَٰرَىٰ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ مِن سُوٓءِ مَا بُشِّرَ بِهِۦٓۚ أَيُمۡسِكُهُۥ عَلَىٰ هُونٍ أَمۡ يَدُسُّهُۥ فِي ٱلتُّرَابِۗ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَحۡكُمُونَ

یَتَوَارٰی مِنَ الْقَوْمِ مِنْ سُوْٓءِ مَا بُشِّرَ بِهٖ اَیُمْسِكُهٗ عَلٰی هُوْنٍ اَمْ یَدُسُّهٗ فِی التُّرَابِ اَلَا سَآءَ مَا یَحْكُمُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
yatawaaraa minal qawmimin sooo'i maa bushshira bih; a-yumsikuhoo 'alaa hoonin am yadussuhoo fit turaab; alaa saaa'a maa yahkumoon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it in the dust? Ah! what an evil (choice) they decide on?
