# Quran 2:123 — Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow), Verse 123

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
وَٱتَّقُواْ يَوۡمٗا لَّا تَجۡزِي نَفۡسٌ عَن نَّفۡسٖ شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَا يُقۡبَلُ مِنۡهَا عَدۡلٞ وَلَا تَنفَعُهَا شَفَٰعَةٞ وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ

وَاتَّقُوْا یَوْمًا لَّا تَجْزِیْ نَفْسٌ عَنْ نَّفْسٍ شَیْـًٔا وَّلَا یُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَّلَا تَنْفَعُهَا شَفَاعَةٌ وَّلَا هُمْ یُنْصَرُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Wattaqoo yawmal laa tajzee nafsun 'an nafsin shai 'anw wa laa yuqbalu minhaa 'adlunw wa laa tanfa'uhaa shafaa 'atunw wa laa hum yunsaroon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> Then guard yourselves against a Day when one soul shall not avail another, nor shall compensation be accepted from her nor shall intercession profit her nor shall anyone be helped (from outside).
