# Quran 2:167 — Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow), Verse 167

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُواْ لَوۡ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةٗ فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنۡهُمۡ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُواْ مِنَّاۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُرِيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ حَسَرَٰتٍ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ وَمَا هُم بِخَٰرِجِينَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

وَقَالَ الَّذِیْنَ اتَّبَعُوْا لَوْ اَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَتَبَرَّاَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُوْا مِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ یُرِیْهِمُ اللّٰهُ اَعْمَالَهُمْ حَسَرٰتٍ عَلَیْهِمْ وَمَا هُمْ بِخٰرِجِیْنَ مِنَ النَّارِ 

## Transliteration
Wa qaalal lazeenat taba'oo law anna lanaa karratan fanatabarra a minhum kamaa tabarra'oo minnaa; kazaalika yureehimullaahu a'maalahum hasaraatin 'alaihim wa maa hum bikhaarijeena minan Naar

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> And those who followed would say: "If only We had one more chance, We would clear ourselves of them, as they have cleared themselves of us." Thus will Allah show them (The fruits of) their deeds as (nothing but) regrets. Nor will there be a way for them out of the Fire.
