# Quran 2:224 — Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow), Verse 224

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
وَلَا تَجۡعَلُواْ ٱللَّهَ عُرۡضَةٗ لِّأَيۡمَٰنِكُمۡ أَن تَبَرُّواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ وَتُصۡلِحُواْ بَيۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِۚ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٞ

## Arabic (IndoPak script)
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا اللّٰهَ عُرْضَةً لِّاَیْمَانِكُمْ اَنْ تَبَرُّوْا وَتَتَّقُوْا وَتُصْلِحُوْا بَیْنَ النَّاسِ وَاللّٰهُ سَمِیْعٌ عَلِیْمٌ ۟

## Transliteration
Wa laa taj'alul laaha 'urdatal li aymaanikum an tabarroo wa tattaqoo wa tuslihoo bainan naas; wallaahu Samee'un 'Aleem

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> And make not Allah's (name) an excuse in your oaths against doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for Allah is One Who heareth and knoweth all things.
