# Quran 2:65 — Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow), Verse 65

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱعۡتَدَوۡاْ مِنكُمۡ فِي ٱلسَّبۡتِ فَقُلۡنَا لَهُمۡ كُونُواْ قِرَدَةً خَٰسِـِٔينَ

## Arabic (IndoPak script)
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ الَّذِیْنَ اعْتَدَوْا مِنْكُمْ فِی السَّبْتِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُوْنُوْا قِرَدَةً خٰسِـِٕیْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Wa laqad 'alimtumul lazeena'-tadaw minkum fis Sabti faqulnaa lahum koonoo qiradatan khaasi'een

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath: We said to them: "Be ye apes, despised and rejected."
