# Quran 2:67 — Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow), Verse 67

وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأۡمُرُكُمۡ أَن تَذۡبَحُواْ بَقَرَةٗۖ قَالُوٓاْ أَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُوٗاۖ قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِٱللَّهِ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ

وَاِذْ قَالَ مُوْسٰی لِقَوْمِهٖۤ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ یَاْمُرُكُمْ اَنْ تَذْبَحُوْا بَقَرَةً قَالُوْۤا اَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُوًا قَالَ اَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰهِ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْجٰهِلِیْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Wa iz qaala Moosaa liqawmiheee innal laaha yaamurukum an tazbahoo baqaratan qaalooo atattakhizunna huzuwan qaala a'oozu billaahi an akoona minal jaahileen

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> And remember Moses said to his people: "Allah commands that ye sacrifice a heifer." They said: "Makest thou a laughing-stock of us?" He said: "Allah save me from being an ignorant (fool)!"
