# Quran 2:73 — Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow), Verse 73

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
فَقُلۡنَا ٱضۡرِبُوهُ بِبَعۡضِهَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُحۡيِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَيُرِيكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ

فَقُلْنَا اضْرِبُوْهُ بِبَعْضِهَا كَذٰلِكَ یُحْیِ اللّٰهُ الْمَوْتٰی وَیُرِیْكُمْ اٰیٰتِهٖ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Faqulnad riboohu biba'dihaa; kazaalika yuhyil laa hul mawtaa wa yureekum aayaatihee la'allakum ta'qiloon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> So We said: “Strike the (body) with a piece of the (heifer).” Thus Allah bringeth the dead to life and showeth you His Signs perchance ye may understand.
