# Quran 4:17 — Surah An-Nisa' (The Women), Verse 17

إِنَّمَا ٱلتَّوۡبَةُ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ لِلَّذِينَ يَعۡمَلُونَ ٱلسُّوٓءَ بِجَهَٰلَةٖ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُونَ مِن قَرِيبٖ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يَتُوبُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمٗا

اِنَّمَا التَّوْبَةُ عَلَی اللّٰهِ لِلَّذِیْنَ یَعْمَلُوْنَ السُّوْٓءَ بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ یَتُوْبُوْنَ مِنْ قَرِیْبٍ فَاُولٰٓىِٕكَ یَتُوْبُ اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِمْ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلِیْمًا حَكِیْمًا ۟

## Transliteration
Innamat tawbatu 'alallaahi lillazeena ya'maloonas sooo'a bijahaalatin summa yatooboona min qareebin fa ulaa'ika yatoobul laahu 'alaihim; wa kaanal laahu 'Aleeman Hakeemaa

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> Allah accept the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and repent soon afterwards; to them will Allah turn in mercy: For Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.
