# Quran 5:11 — Surah Al-Mai'dah (The Spread Table), Verse 11

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ إِذۡ هَمَّ قَوۡمٌ أَن يَبۡسُطُوٓاْ إِلَيۡكُمۡ أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ فَكَفَّ أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ عَنكُمۡۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوا اذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَتَ اللّٰهِ عَلَیْكُمْ اِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ اَنْ یَّبْسُطُوْۤا اِلَیْكُمْ اَیْدِیَهُمْ فَكَفَّ اَیْدِیَهُمْ عَنْكُمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَعَلَی اللّٰهِ فَلْیَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ 

## Transliteration
Yaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanuz kuroo ni'matallaahi 'alaikum iz hamma qawmun ai yabsutooo ilaikum aidiyahum fakaffa aidiyahum 'ankum wattaqullaah; wa'alal laahi fal yatawakalil mu'minoon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> O ye who believe! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you when certain men formed the design to stretch out their hands against you, but (Allah) held back their hands from you: so fear Allah. And on Allah let believers put (all) their trust.
