# Quran 5:22 — Surah Al-Mai'dah (The Spread Table), Verse 22

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوۡمٗا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدۡخُلَهَا حَتَّىٰ يَخۡرُجُواْ مِنۡهَا فَإِن يَخۡرُجُواْ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّا دَٰخِلُونَ

قَالُوْا یٰمُوْسٰۤی اِنَّ فِیْهَا قَوْمًا جَبَّارِیْنَ وَاِنَّا لَنْ نَّدْخُلَهَا حَتّٰی یَخْرُجُوْا مِنْهَا فَاِنْ یَّخْرُجُوْا مِنْهَا فَاِنَّا دٰخِلُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Qaaloo yaa Moosaaa innaa feehaa qawman jabbaareena wa innaa lan nadkhulahaa hattaa yakhrujoo minhaa fa-iny yakhrujoo minhaa fa innaa daakhiloon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> They said: "O Moses! In this land are a people of exceeding strength: Never shall we enter it until they leave it: if (once) they leave, then shall we enter."
