# Quran 5:43 — Surah Al-Mai'dah (The Spread Table), Verse 43

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
وَكَيۡفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةُ فِيهَا حُكۡمُ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوۡنَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَۚ وَمَآ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

## Arabic (IndoPak script)
وَكَیْفَ یُحَكِّمُوْنَكَ وَعِنْدَهُمُ التَّوْرٰىةُ فِیْهَا حُكْمُ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ یَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَ وَمَاۤ اُولٰٓىِٕكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ 

## Transliteration
Wa kaifa yuhakkimoonaka wa 'indahumut Tawraatu feehaa hukmul laahi summa yatawallawna mim ba'di zaalik; wa maaa ulaaa'ika bilmu'mineen

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> But why do they come to thee for decision, when they have (their own) law before them?- therein is the (plain) command of Allah; yet even after that, they would turn away. For they are not (really) People of Faith.
