# Quran 5:79 — Surah Al-Mai'dah (The Spread Table), Verse 79

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
كَانُواْ لَا يَتَنَاهَوۡنَ عَن مُّنكَرٖ فَعَلُوهُۚ لَبِئۡسَ مَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَ

## Arabic (IndoPak script)
كَانُوْا لَا یَتَنَاهَوْنَ عَنْ مُّنْكَرٍ فَعَلُوْهُ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوْا یَفْعَلُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Kaanoo laa yatanaahawna 'am munkarin fa'alooh; labi'sa maa kaanoo yafa'loon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> Nor did they (usually) forbid one another the iniquities which they committed: evil indeed were the deeds which they did.
