# Quran 6:121 — Surah Al-An'am (The Cattle), Verse 121

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
وَلَا تَأۡكُلُواْ مِمَّا لَمۡ يُذۡكَرِ ٱسۡمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡهِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِسۡقٞۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَىٰٓ أَوۡلِيَآئِهِمۡ لِيُجَٰدِلُوكُمۡۖ وَإِنۡ أَطَعۡتُمُوهُمۡ إِنَّكُمۡ لَمُشۡرِكُونَ

وَلَا تَاْكُلُوْا مِمَّا لَمْ یُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللّٰهِ عَلَیْهِ وَاِنَّهٗ لَفِسْقٌ وَاِنَّ الشَّیٰطِیْنَ لَیُوْحُوْنَ اِلٰۤی اَوْلِیٰٓـِٕهِمْ لِیُجَادِلُوْكُمْ وَاِنْ اَطَعْتُمُوْهُمْ اِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُوْنَ 

## Transliteration
Wa laa ta'kuloo mimmaa lam yuzkaris mullaahi 'alaihi wa innahoo lafisq; wa innash Shayaateena la yoohoona ilaaa awliyaaa'ihim liyujaadilookum wa in ata'tumoohum innakum lamushrikoon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> Eat not of (meats) on which Allah's name hath not been pronounced: That would be impiety. But the evil ones ever inspire their friends to contend with you if ye were to obey them, ye would indeed be Pagans.
