# Quran 6:123 — Surah Al-An'am (The Cattle), Verse 123

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلۡنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرۡيَةٍ أَكَٰبِرَ مُجۡرِمِيهَا لِيَمۡكُرُواْ فِيهَاۖ وَمَا يَمۡكُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنفُسِهِمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُونَ

وَكَذٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِیْ كُلِّ قَرْیَةٍ اَكٰبِرَ مُجْرِمِیْهَا لِیَمْكُرُوْا فِیْهَا وَمَا یَمْكُرُوْنَ اِلَّا بِاَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمَا یَشْعُرُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Wa kazaalika ja'alnaa fee kulli qaryatin akaabira mujrimeehaa liyamkuroo feehaa wa maa yamkuroona illaa bi anfusihim wa maa yash'uroon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> Thus have We placed leaders in every town, its wicked men, to plot (and burrow) therein: but they only plot against their own souls, and they perceive it not.
