# Quran 7:162 — Surah Al-A'raf (The Heights), Verse 162

فَبَدَّلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ قَوۡلًا غَيۡرَ ٱلَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمۡ فَأَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِجۡزٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَظۡلِمُونَ

فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِیْنَ ظَلَمُوْا مِنْهُمْ قَوْلًا غَیْرَ الَّذِیْ قِیْلَ لَهُمْ فَاَرْسَلْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ رِجْزًا مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَظْلِمُوْنَ 

## Transliteration
Fabaddalal lazeena zalamoo minhum qawlan ghairal lazee qeela lahum fa arsalnaa 'alaihim rijzan minas samaaa'i bimaa kaanoo yazlimoon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> But the transgressors among them changed the word from that which had been given them so we sent on them a plague from heaven. For that they repeatedly transgressed.
