# Quran 7:40 — Surah Al-A'raf (The Heights), Verse 40

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ عَنۡهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمۡ أَبۡوَٰبُ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَا يَدۡخُلُونَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ حَتَّىٰ يَلِجَ ٱلۡجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ ٱلۡخِيَاطِۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰیٰتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا عَنْهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ اَبْوَابُ السَّمَآءِ وَلَا یَدْخُلُوْنَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتّٰی یَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِیْ سَمِّ الْخِیَاطِ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِی الْمُجْرِمِیْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Innal lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa wastakbaroo 'anhaa laa tufattahu lahum abwaabus samaaa'i wa laa yadkhuloonal jannata hattaa yalijal jamalu fee sammil khiyaat; wa kazaalika najzil mujrimeen

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> To those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance, no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle: Such is Our reward for those in sin.
