# Quran 7:82 — Surah Al-A'raf (The Heights), Verse 82

وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓاْ أَخۡرِجُوهُم مِّن قَرۡيَتِكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُمۡ أُنَاسٞ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ

وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهٖۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ قَالُوْۤا اَخْرِجُوْهُمْ مِّنْ قَرْیَتِكُمْ اِنَّهُمْ اُنَاسٌ یَّتَطَهَّرُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Wa maa kaana jawaaba qawmihee illaa an qaalooo akhrijoohum min qaryatikum innahum unaasuny yatatahharoon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> And his people gave no answer but this: they said, "Drive them out of your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!"
