# Quran 8:26 — Surah Al-Anfal (The Spoils of War), Verse 26

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
وَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْ إِذۡ أَنتُمۡ قَلِيلٞ مُّسۡتَضۡعَفُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ تَخَافُونَ أَن يَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ ٱلنَّاسُ فَـَٔاوَىٰكُمۡ وَأَيَّدَكُم بِنَصۡرِهِۦ وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ

وَاذْكُرُوْۤا اِذْ اَنْتُمْ قَلِیْلٌ مُّسْتَضْعَفُوْنَ فِی الْاَرْضِ تَخَافُوْنَ اَنْ یَّتَخَطَّفَكُمُ النَّاسُ فَاٰوٰىكُمْ وَاَیَّدَكُمْ بِنَصْرِهٖ وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِّنَ الطَّیِّبٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Wazkurooo iz antum qaleelum mustad 'afoona filardi takhaafoona ai yatakhat tafakumun naasu fa aawaakum wa aiyadakum binasrihee wa razaqakum minat taiyibaati la'allakum tashkuroon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> Call to mind when ye were a small (band), despised through the land, and afraid that men might despoil and kidnap you; But He provided a safe asylum for you, strengthened you with His aid, and gave you Good things for sustenance: that ye might be grateful.
