# Quran 8:33 — Surah Al-Anfal (The Spoils of War), Verse 33

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمۡ وَأَنتَ فِيهِمۡۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمۡ وَهُمۡ يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ

## Arabic (IndoPak script)
وَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِیُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَاَنْتَ فِیْهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ یَسْتَغْفِرُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Wa maa kaanal laahu liyu'az zibahum wa anta feehim; wa maa kaanal laahu mu'az zibahum wa hum yastaghfiroon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> But Allah was not going to send them a penalty whilst thou wast amongst them; nor was He going to send it whilst they could ask for pardon.
