# Quran 8:36 — Surah Al-Anfal (The Spoils of War), Verse 36

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُنفِقُونَ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡ لِيَصُدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِۚ فَسَيُنفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَسۡرَةٗ ثُمَّ يُغۡلَبُونَۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ يُحۡشَرُونَ

اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا یُنْفِقُوْنَ اَمْوَالَهُمْ لِیَصُدُّوْا عَنْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ فَسَیُنْفِقُوْنَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُوْنُ عَلَیْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ یُغْلَبُوْنَ وَالَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْۤا اِلٰی جَهَنَّمَ یُحْشَرُوْنَ ۟

## Transliteration
Innal lazeena kafaroo yunfiqoona amwaalahum liyasuddoo 'an sabeelil laah; fasayunfiqoonahaa summa takoonu 'alaihim hasratan summa yughlaboon; wal lazeena kafarooo ilaa Jahannnama yuhsharoona

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> The Unbelievers spend their wealth to hinder (man) from the path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend; but in the end they will have (only) regrets and sighs; at length they will be overcome: and the Unbelievers will be gathered together to Hell;-
