# Quran 9:29 — Surah At-Taubah (The Repentance), Verse 29

## Arabic (Uthmani script)
قَٰتِلُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَلَا بِٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَلَا يَدِينُونَ دِينَ ٱلۡحَقِّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ حَتَّىٰ يُعۡطُواْ ٱلۡجِزۡيَةَ عَن يَدٖ وَهُمۡ صَٰغِرُونَ

قَاتِلُوا الَّذِیْنَ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَلَا بِالْیَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَلَا یُحَرِّمُوْنَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ وَلَا یَدِیْنُوْنَ دِیْنَ الْحَقِّ مِنَ الَّذِیْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ حَتّٰی یُعْطُوا الْجِزْیَةَ عَنْ یَّدٍ وَّهُمْ صٰغِرُوْنَ 

## Transliteration
Qaatilul lazeena laa yu'minoona billaahi wa laa bil yawmil Aakhiri wa laa yuharrimoona maa harramal laahu wa Rasooluhoo wa laa yadeenoona deenal haqqi minal lazeena ootul Kitaaba hattaa yu'tul jizyata ai yadinw wa hum saaghiroon

## English Translation (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
> Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
