Misinformation dressed as guidance
The internet is full of noise. Opinions, agendas, and outright falsehoods compete for attention alongside authentic sources. Most people can’t tell the difference — and they shouldn’t have to.
About Deen
Deen is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing free, ad-free access to the Quran and Sahih Bukhari & Muslim. Built on simplicity, privacy, and trust.
WHY WE BUILT THIS
Three forces were pulling people away from the Quran — not toward it. We built Deen to push back on all three.
The internet is full of noise. Opinions, agendas, and outright falsehoods compete for attention alongside authentic sources. Most people can’t tell the difference — and they shouldn’t have to.
Ads, paywalls, premium unlocks, data harvesting — the apps that dominate the space were designed to monetize your spiritual practice. That tension is real, and it’s wrong.
Most apps assume fluency, depth, and prior knowledge. They were built for those already well-versed — not for the curious, the returning, or those just beginning. That leaves most people with nowhere to start.
We do not collect personally identifiable information. We do not sell data. We will never put the ummah at risk.
We will never show you any advertisements, ensuring a calm, distraction-free experience as you connect with Allah SWT.
Completely free. No locked features, no hidden subscriptions. Working to be available in every single language, and for all literacy levels.
Quran at the center. Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim for hadith. No AI-generated answers. No editorial opinion. Just the sources, clearly presented.
Deen is operated by Deen Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are supported by community donations. We will never sell the app or put the Ummah at risk.
Over four years and nearly a million dollars of investment, we've built a foundation now serving millions. Growth has been almost entirely organic.

We're building Deen 2.0— expanding content depth, usability, and access.
At its core: a scholar-verified Quranic Knowledge Engine— a first-of-its-kind index helping users find and explore relevant verses without generative interpretation. Built with engineers, product builders, and scholars working closely together.
Roadmap
Deen is sustained by community donations. Every contribution directly funds the work behind the app:
Product development and innovation
Scholar-verified development and review
Cloud hosting and privacy protection
Language expansion and inclusion
Deen does not aim to replace scholars, institutions, or other Islamic platforms. It aims to be the entry point everyone can trust.
From there, users can grow — into deeper learning, connection, living, and giving.
Over time, we envision a waqf-supported ecosystem— sustained by the ummah, for the ummah — supporting not only Deen, but other values-aligned nonprofits that help people grow spiritually.
Deen has received repeated acquisition interest. We chose not to engage.
This work is structured to remain nonprofit and independent — so that access to the Quran is never shaped by commercial or political pressure.
We do not collect personal data and know nothing about our users beyond basic country-level app store information.
Join millions using Deen — a free, ad-free app creating simple and easy access to authentic Islamic information.
