Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " الْحُمَّى مِنْ فَوْحِ جَهَنَّمَ، فَابْرُدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ ".
English Translation
Narrated Rafi bin Khadij: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "Fever is from the heat of Hell, so abate fever with water."
