Arabic Text
وَحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنَّحَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَىِّ " .
English Translation
'Abdullah b. 'Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The dead is punished because of the lamentation of the living.
