Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْغُبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ، بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ح . وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ أَبِي، الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ أَخًا لَكُمْ قَدْ مَاتَ فَقُومُوا فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ " . قَالَ فَقُمْنَا فَصَفَّنَا صَفَّيْنِ .
English Translation
Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: A brother of yours has died, so stand up and offer prayer over him. So we stood up and drew ourselves up into two rows.
