وَحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَيَانٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، - يَعْنِي الطَّحَّانَ - عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَأْمُرُنَا إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مَضْجَعَنَا أَنْ نَقُولَ . بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ وَقَالَ " مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا " .
English Translation
Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to command us that as we go to our bedo, we should utter the words (as mention- ed above) and he also said (these words): " From the evil of every animal, Thou hast hold upon its forelock (Thou bast full control over it)."
This hadith is from Sahih Muslim, one of the most rigorously authenticated collections in Islamic scholarship. No editorial opinion is added.
