Surah Hud (Hud), Verse 46

قَالَ یٰنُوْحُ اِنَّهٗ لَیْسَ مِنْ اَهْلِكَ اِنَّهٗ عَمَلٌ غَیْرُ صَالِحٍ فَلَا تَسْـَٔلْنِ مَا لَیْسَ لَكَ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ اِنِّیْۤ اَعِظُكَ اَنْ تَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْجٰهِلِیْنَ ۟

Qaala yaa Noohu innahoo laisa min ahlika innahoo 'amalun ghairu saalihin falaa tas'alni maa laisa laka bihee 'ilmun inneee a'izuka an takoona minal jaahileen

“He said: "O Noah! He is not of thy family: For his conduct is unrighteous. So ask not of Me that of which thou hast no knowledge! I give thee counsel, lest thou act like the ignorant!"”
