Surah Al-Isra' (The Night Journey), Verse 31

وَلَا تَقْتُلُوْۤا اَوْلَادَكُمْ خَشْیَةَ اِمْلَاقٍ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُهُمْ وَاِیَّاكُمْ اِنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ كَانَ خِطْاً كَبِیْرًا ۟

Wa laa taqtulooo awlaadakum khashyata imlaaqin nahnu narzuquhum wa iyyaakum; inna qatlahum kaana khit 'an kabeeraa

“Kill not your children for fear of want: We shall provide sustenance for them as well as for you. Verily the killing of them is a great sin.”
