وَاِذْ اَخَذْنَا مِیْثَاقَ بَنِیْۤ اِسْرَآءِیْلَ لَا تَعْبُدُوْنَ اِلَّا اللّٰهَ وَبِالْوَالِدَیْنِ اِحْسَانًا وَّذِی الْقُرْبٰی وَالْیَتٰمٰی وَالْمَسٰكِیْنِ وَقُوْلُوْا لِلنَّاسِ حُسْنًا وَّاَقِیْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّیْتُمْ اِلَّا قَلِیْلًا مِّنْكُمْ وَاَنْتُمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ ۟
Wa iz akhaznaa meesaaqa Baneee Israaa'eela laa ta'budoona illal laaha wa bil waalidaini ihsaananw wa zil qurbaa walyataamaa walmasaakeeni wa qooloo linnaasi husnanw wa aqeemus salaata wa aatuzZakaata summa tawallaitum illaa qaleelam minkum wa antum mu'ridoon
“And remember We took a covenant from the Children of Israel (to this effect): Worship none but Allah; treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practise regular charity. Then did ye turn back, except a few among you, and ye backslide (even now).”
