Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow), Verse 87

وَلَقَدْ اٰتَیْنَا مُوْسَی الْكِتٰبَ وَقَفَّیْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهٖ بِالرُّسُلِ وَاٰتَیْنَا عِیْسَی ابْنَ مَرْیَمَ الْبَیِّنٰتِ وَاَیَّدْنٰهُ بِرُوْحِ الْقُدُسِ اَفَكُلَّمَا جَآءَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌۢ بِمَا لَا تَهْوٰۤی اَنْفُسُكُمُ اسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ فَفَرِیْقًا كَذَّبْتُمْ وَفَرِیْقًا تَقْتُلُوْنَ ۟

Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba wa qaffainaa mim ba'dihee bir Rusuli wa aatainaa 'Eesab-na-Maryamal baiyinaati wa ayyadnaahu bi Roohil Qudus; afakullamaa jaaa'akum Rasoolum bimaa laa tahwaaa anfusukumus takbartum fafareeqan kazzabtum wa fareeqan taqtuloon

“We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of messengers; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you a messenger with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!”
