Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow), Verse 96

وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ اَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلٰی حَیٰوةٍ وَمِنَ الَّذِیْنَ اَشْرَكُوْا یَوَدُّ اَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ یُعَمَّرُ اَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهٖ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ اَنْ یُّعَمَّرَ وَاللّٰهُ بَصِیْرٌ بِمَا یَعْمَلُوْنَ 

Wa latajidannahum ahrasannaasi 'alaa hayaatinw wa minal lazeena ashrakoo; yawaddu ahaduhum law yu'ammaru alfa sanatinw wa maa huwa bi muzahzihihee minal 'azaabi ai yu'ammar; wallaahu baseerum bimaa ya'maloon

“Thou wilt indeed find them, of all people, most greedy of life,-even more than the idolaters: Each one of them wishes He could be given a life of a thousand years: But the grant of such life will not save him from (due) punishment. For Allah sees well all that they do.”
