Surah Aali Imran (The Family of Imran), Verse 112

ضُرِبَتْ عَلَیْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ اَیْنَ مَا ثُقِفُوْۤا اِلَّا بِحَبْلٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَحَبْلٍ مِّنَ النَّاسِ وَبَآءُوْ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَیْهِمُ الْمَسْكَنَةُ ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا یَكْفُرُوْنَ بِاٰیٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَیَقْتُلُوْنَ الْاَنْۢبِیَآءَ بِغَیْرِ حَقٍّ ذٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَّكَانُوْا یَعْتَدُوْنَ ۟

Duribat 'alaihimuz zillatu aina maa suqifooo illaa bihablim minal laahi wa hablim minan naasi wa baaa'oo bighadabim minallaahi wa duribat 'alaihimul maskanah; zaalika bi-annahum kaanoo yakfuroona bi Aayaatil laahi wa yaqtuloonal Ambiyaaa'a bighairi haqq; zaalika bimaa 'asaw wa kaanoo ya'tadoon

“Shame is pitched over them (Like a tent) wherever they are found, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allah and from men; they draw on themselves wrath from Allah, and pitched over them is (the tent of) destitution. This because they rejected the Signs of Allah, and slew the prophets in defiance of right; this because they rebelled and transgressed beyond bounds.”
