Surah Aali Imran (The Family of Imran), Verse 183

اَلَّذِیْنَ قَالُوْۤا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَهِدَ اِلَیْنَاۤ اَلَّا نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُوْلٍ حَتّٰی یَاْتِیَنَا بِقُرْبَانٍ تَاْكُلُهُ النَّارُ قُلْ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْ قَبْلِیْ بِالْبَیِّنٰتِ وَبِالَّذِیْ قُلْتُمْ فَلِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوْهُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ ۟

Allazeena qaalooo innal laaha 'ahida ilainaaa allaa nu'mina liRasoolin hatta ya'tiyanaa biqurbaanin ta kuluhun naar; qul qad jaaa'akum Rusulum min qablee bilbaiyinaati wa billazee qultum falima qataltumoohum in kuntum saadiqeen

“They (also) said: "Allah took our promise not to believe in a Messenger unless He showed us a sacrifice consumed by Fire (From heaven)." Say: "There came to you messengers before me, with clear Signs and even with what ye ask for: why then did ye slay them, if ye speak the truth?"”
