Al-Ahzab

یٰۤاَیُّهَا النَّبِیُّ اتَّقِ اللّٰهَ وَلَا تُطِعِ الْكٰفِرِیْنَ وَالْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ عَلِیْمًا حَكِیْمًا ۟

Yaa aiyuhan Nabiyyut taqil laaha wa laa tuti'il kaafireena wal munaafiqeen; innal laaha kaana 'aleeman Hakeemaa

O Prophet! Fear Allah, and hearken not to the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites: verily Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom.

وَّاتَّبِعْ مَا یُوْحٰۤی اِلَیْكَ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِیْرًا ۟

Wattabi' maa yoohaaa ilaika mir Rabbik; innal laaha kaana bimaa ta'maloona Khabeera

But follow that which comes to thee by inspiration from thy Lord: for Allah is well acquainted with (all) that ye do.

وَّتَوَكَّلْ عَلَی اللّٰهِ وَكَفٰی بِاللّٰهِ وَكِیْلًا ۟

Wa tawakkal 'alal laah; wa kafaa billaahi Wakeelaa

And put thy trust in Allah, and enough is Allah as a disposer of affairs.

مَا جَعَلَ اللّٰهُ لِرَجُلٍ مِّنْ قَلْبَیْنِ فِیْ جَوْفِهٖ وَمَا جَعَلَ اَزْوَاجَكُمُ الّٰٓـِٔیْ تُظٰهِرُوْنَ مِنْهُنَّ اُمَّهٰتِكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ اَدْعِیَآءَكُمْ اَبْنَآءَكُمْ ذٰلِكُمْ قَوْلُكُمْ بِاَفْوَاهِكُمْ وَاللّٰهُ یَقُوْلُ الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ یَهْدِی السَّبِیْلَ ۟

Maa ja'alal laahu lirajulim min qalbaini fee jawfih; wa maa ja'ala azwaajakumul laaa'ee tuzaahiroona minhunna ummahaatikum; wa maa ja'ala ad'iyaaa'akum abnaaa'akum; zaalikum qawlukum bi afwaa hikum wallaahu yaqoolul haqqa wa Huwa yahdis sabeel

Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his (one) body: nor has He made your wives whom ye divorce by Zihar your mothers: nor has He made your adopted sons your sons. Such is (only) your (manner of) speech by your mouths. But Allah tells (you) the Truth, and He shows the (right) Way.

اُدْعُوْهُمْ لِاٰبَآىِٕهِمْ هُوَ اَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ فَاِنْ لَّمْ تَعْلَمُوْۤا اٰبَآءَهُمْ فَاِخْوَانُكُمْ فِی الدِّیْنِ وَمَوَالِیْكُمْ وَلَیْسَ عَلَیْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ فِیْمَاۤ اَخْطَاْتُمْ بِهٖ وَلٰكِنْ مَّا تَعَمَّدَتْ قُلُوْبُكُمْ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِیْمًا ۟

Ud'oohum li aabaaa'ihim huwa aqsatu 'indal laah; fa illam ta'lamooo aabaaa'ahum fa ikhwaanukum fid deeni wa mawaaleekum; wa laisa 'alaikum junaahun feemaaa akhtaatum bihee wa laakim maa ta'ammadat quloobukum; wa kaanal laahu Ghafoorar Raheemaa

Call them by (the names of) their fathers: that is juster in the sight of Allah. But if ye know not their father's (names, call them) your Brothers in faith, or your maulas. But there is no blame on you if ye make a mistake therein: (what counts is) the intention of your hearts: and Allah is Oft- Returning, Most Merciful.

اَلنَّبِیُّ اَوْلٰی بِالْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ مِنْ اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَاَزْوَاجُهٗۤ اُمَّهٰتُهُمْ وَاُولُوا الْاَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ اَوْلٰی بِبَعْضٍ فِیْ كِتٰبِ اللّٰهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَالْمُهٰجِرِیْنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ تَفْعَلُوْۤا اِلٰۤی اَوْلِیٰٓىِٕكُمْ مَّعْرُوْفًا كَانَ ذٰلِكَ فِی الْكِتٰبِ مَسْطُوْرًا ۟

An-Nabiyyu awlaa bil mu'mineena min anfusihim wa azwaajuhoo ummahatuhum wa ulul arhaami ba'duhum awlaa biba'din fee Kitaabil laahi minal mu'meneena wal Muhaajireena illaaa an taf'alooo ilaaa awliyaaa'ikum ma'roofaa; kaana zaalika fil kitaabi mastooraa

The Prophet is closer to the Believers than their own selves, and his wives are their mothers. Blood-relations among each other have closer personal ties, in the Decree of Allah. Than (the Brotherhood of) Believers and Muhajirs: nevertheless do ye what is just to your closest friends: such is the writing in the Decree (of Allah).

وَاِذْ اَخَذْنَا مِنَ النَّبِیّٖنَ مِیْثَاقَهُمْ وَمِنْكَ وَمِنْ نُّوْحٍ وَّاِبْرٰهِیْمَ وَمُوْسٰی وَعِیْسَی ابْنِ مَرْیَمَ وَاَخَذْنَا مِنْهُمْ مِّیْثَاقًا غَلِیْظًا ۟

Wa iz akhaznaa minan Nabiyyeena meesaaqahum wa minka wa min Noohinw wa Ibraaheema wa Moosaa wa Eesab-ni-Maryama wa akhaznaa minhum meesaaqan ghaleezaa

And remember We took from the prophets their covenant: As (We did) from thee: from Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus the son of Mary: We took from them a solemn covenant:

لِّیَسْـَٔلَ الصّٰدِقِیْنَ عَنْ صِدْقِهِمْ وَاَعَدَّ لِلْكٰفِرِیْنَ عَذَابًا اَلِیْمًا 

Liyas'alas saadiqeena 'an sidqihim; wa a'adda lilkaa fireena 'azaaban aleemaa

That (Allah) may question the (custodians) of Truth concerning the Truth they (were charged with): And He has prepared for the Unbelievers a grievous Penalty.

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوا اذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَةَ اللّٰهِ عَلَیْكُمْ اِذْ جَآءَتْكُمْ جُنُوْدٌ فَاَرْسَلْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ رِیْحًا وَّجُنُوْدًا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِیْرًا ۟

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanuz kuroo ni'matal laahi 'alaikum iz jaaa'atkum junoodun fa arsalnaa 'alaihim reehanw wa junoodal lam tarawhaa; wa kaanal laahu bimaa ta'maloona Baseera

O ye who believe! Remember the Grace of Allah, (bestowed) on you, when there came down on you hosts (to overwhelm you): But We sent against them a hurricane and forces that ye saw not: but Allah sees (clearly) all that ye do.

اِذْ جَآءُوْكُمْ مِّنْ فَوْقِكُمْ وَمِنْ اَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ وَاِذْ زَاغَتِ الْاَبْصَارُ وَبَلَغَتِ الْقُلُوْبُ الْحَنَاجِرَ وَتَظُنُّوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ الظُّنُوْنَا ۟

Iz jaaa'ookum min fawqikum wa min asfala minkum wa iz zaaghatil absaaru wa balaghatil quloobul hanaajira wa tazunnoona billaahiz zunoonaa

Behold! they came on you from above you and from below you, and behold, the eyes became dim and the hearts gaped up to the throats, and ye imagined various (vain) thoughts about Allah!

هُنَالِكَ ابْتُلِیَ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ وَزُلْزِلُوْا زِلْزَالًا شَدِیْدًا ۟

Hunaalikab tuliyal mu'minoona wa zulziloo zilzaalan shadeedaa

In that situation were the Believers tried: they were shaken as by a tremendous shaking.

وَاِذْ یَقُوْلُ الْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ وَالَّذِیْنَ فِیْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ مَّا وَعَدَنَا اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗۤ اِلَّا غُرُوْرًا ۟

Wa iz yaqoolul munaafiqoona wallazeena fee quloobihim maradum maa wa'adanal laahu wa Rasooluhooo illaa ghurooraa

And behold! The Hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease (even) say: "Allah and His Messenger promised us nothing but delusion!"

وَاِذْ قَالَتْ طَّآىِٕفَةٌ مِّنْهُمْ یٰۤاَهْلَ یَثْرِبَ لَا مُقَامَ لَكُمْ فَارْجِعُوْا وَیَسْتَاْذِنُ فَرِیْقٌ مِّنْهُمُ النَّبِیَّ یَقُوْلُوْنَ اِنَّ بُیُوْتَنَا عَوْرَةٌ وَمَا هِیَ بِعَوْرَةٍ اِنْ یُّرِیْدُوْنَ اِلَّا فِرَارًا ۟

Wa iz qaalat taaa'ifatum minhum yaaa ahla Yasriba laa muqaamaa lakum farji'oo; wa yastaazinu fareequm minhumun Nabiyya yaqooloona inna buyootanaa 'awrah; wa maa hiya bi'awratin iny yureedoona illaa firaaraa

Behold! A party among them said: "Ye men of Yathrib! ye cannot stand (the attack)! therefore go back!" And a band of them ask for leave of the Prophet, saying, "Truly our houses are bare and exposed," though they were not exposed they intended nothing but to run away.

وَلَوْ دُخِلَتْ عَلَیْهِمْ مِّنْ اَقْطَارِهَا ثُمَّ سُىِٕلُوا الْفِتْنَةَ لَاٰتَوْهَا وَمَا تَلَبَّثُوْا بِهَاۤ اِلَّا یَسِیْرًا ۟

wa law dukhilat 'alaihim min aqtaarihaa summa su'ilul fitnata la aatawhaa wa maa talabbasoo bihaaa illaa yaseeraa

And if an entry had been effected to them from the sides of the (city), and they had been incited to sedition, they would certainly have brought it to pass, with none but a brief delay!

وَلَقَدْ كَانُوْا عَاهَدُوا اللّٰهَ مِنْ قَبْلُ لَا یُوَلُّوْنَ الْاَدْبَارَ وَكَانَ عَهْدُ اللّٰهِ مَسْـُٔوْلًا ۟

Wa laqad kaanoo 'aahadul laaha min qablu laa yuwal loonal adbaar; wa kaana 'ahdul laahi mas'oolaa

And yet they had already covenanted with Allah not to turn their backs, and a covenant with Allah must (surely) be answered for.

قُلْ لَّنْ یَّنْفَعَكُمُ الْفِرَارُ اِنْ فَرَرْتُمْ مِّنَ الْمَوْتِ اَوِ الْقَتْلِ وَاِذًا لَّا تُمَتَّعُوْنَ اِلَّا قَلِیْلًا ۟

Qul lany yanfa'akumul firaaru in farartum minal mawti awil qatli wa izal laa tumatta'oona illaa qaleelaa

Say: "Running away will not profit you if ye are running away from death or slaughter; and even if (ye do escape), no more than a brief (respite) will ye be allowed to enjoy!"

قُلْ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِیْ یَعْصِمُكُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ اِنْ اَرَادَ بِكُمْ سُوْٓءًا اَوْ اَرَادَ بِكُمْ رَحْمَةً وَلَا یَجِدُوْنَ لَهُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ وَلِیًّا وَّلَا نَصِیْرًا ۟

Qul man zal lazee ya'simukum minal laahi in araada bikum sooo'an aw araada bikum rahmah; wa laa yajidoona lahum min doonil laahi waliyyanw wa laa naseeraa

Say: "Who is it that can screen you from Allah if it be His wish to give you punishment or to give you Mercy?" Nor will they find for themselves, besides Allah, any protector or helper.

قَدْ یَعْلَمُ اللّٰهُ الْمُعَوِّقِیْنَ مِنْكُمْ وَالْقَآىِٕلِیْنَ لِاِخْوَانِهِمْ هَلُمَّ اِلَیْنَا وَلَا یَاْتُوْنَ الْبَاْسَ اِلَّا قَلِیْلًا ۟

Qad ya'lamul laahul mu'awwiqeena minkum walqaaa'ileena li ikhwaanihim halumma ilainaa, wa laa yaatoonal baasa illaa qaleelaa

Verily Allah knows those among you who keep back (men) and those who say to their brethren, "Come along to us", but come not to the fight except for just a little while.

اَشِحَّةً عَلَیْكُمْ فَاِذَا جَآءَ الْخَوْفُ رَاَیْتَهُمْ یَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَیْكَ تَدُوْرُ اَعْیُنُهُمْ كَالَّذِیْ یُغْشٰی عَلَیْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ فَاِذَا ذَهَبَ الْخَوْفُ سَلَقُوْكُمْ بِاَلْسِنَةٍ حِدَادٍ اَشِحَّةً عَلَی الْخَیْرِ اُولٰٓىِٕكَ لَمْ یُؤْمِنُوْا فَاَحْبَطَ اللّٰهُ اَعْمَالَهُمْ وَكَانَ ذٰلِكَ عَلَی اللّٰهِ یَسِیْرًا ۟

Ashihhatan 'alaikum faizaa jaaa'al khawfu ra aytahum yanzuroona ilaika tadooru a'yunuhum kallazee yughshaa 'alaihi minal mawti fa izaa zahabal khawfu salqookum bi alsinatin hidaadin ashihhatan 'alal khayr; ulaaa'ika lam yu'minoo fa ahbatal laahu a'maalahum; wa kaana zaalika 'alal laahi yaseeraa

Covetous over you. Then when fear comes, thou wilt see them looking to thee, their eyes revolving, like (those of) one over whom hovers death: but when the fear is past, they will smite you with sharp tongues, covetous of goods. Such men have no faith, and so Allah has made their deeds of none effect: and that is easy for Allah.

یَحْسَبُوْنَ الْاَحْزَابَ لَمْ یَذْهَبُوْا وَاِنْ یَّاْتِ الْاَحْزَابُ یَوَدُّوْا لَوْ اَنَّهُمْ بَادُوْنَ فِی الْاَعْرَابِ یَسْاَلُوْنَ عَنْ اَنْۢبَآىِٕكُمْ وَلَوْ كَانُوْا فِیْكُمْ مَّا قٰتَلُوْۤا اِلَّا قَلِیْلًا 

Yahsaboonal Ahzaaba lam yazhaboo wa iny yaatil Ahzaabu yawaddoo law annahum baadoona fil A'raabi yasaloona 'an ambaaa'ikum wa law kaanoo feekum maa qaatalooo illaa qaleela

They think that the Confederates have not withdrawn; and if the Confederates should come (again), they would wish they were in the deserts (wandering) among the Bedouins, and seeking news about you (from a safe distance); and if they were in your midst, they would fight but little.

لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِیْ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ اُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَنْ كَانَ یَرْجُوا اللّٰهَ وَالْیَوْمَ الْاٰخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللّٰهَ كَثِیْرًا ۟

Laqad kaana lakum fee Rasoolil laahi uswatun hasanatul liman kaana yarjul laaha wal yawmal Aakhira wa zakaral laaha kaseeraa

Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah.

وَلَمَّا رَاَ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ الْاَحْزَابَ قَالُوْا هٰذَا مَا وَعَدَنَا اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ وَصَدَقَ اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ وَمَا زَادَهُمْ اِلَّاۤ اِیْمَانًا وَّتَسْلِیْمًا ۟

Wa lammaa ra al mu'minoonal Ahzaaba qaaloo haazaa maa wa'adanal laahu wa Rasooluh; wa sadaqal laahu wa Rasooluh; wa maa zaadahum illaaa eemaananw wa tasleemaa

When the Believers saw the Confederate forces, they said: "This is what Allah and his Messenger had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger told us what was true." And it only added to their faith and their zeal in obedience.

مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوْا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللّٰهَ عَلَیْهِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ قَضٰی نَحْبَهٗ وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ یَّنْتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوْا تَبْدِیْلًا ۟

Minal mu'mineena rijaalun sadaqoo maa 'aahadul laaha 'alaihi faminhum man qadaa nahbahoo wa minhum mai yantaziru wa maa baddaloo tabdeelaa

Among the Believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah: of them some have completed their vow (to the extreme), and some (still) wait: but they have never changed (their determination) in the least:

لِّیَجْزِیَ اللّٰهُ الصّٰدِقِیْنَ بِصِدْقِهِمْ وَیُعَذِّبَ الْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ اِنْ شَآءَ اَوْ یَتُوْبَ عَلَیْهِمْ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِیْمًا ۟

Li yajziyal aahus saadiqeena bisidqihim wa yu'azzibal munaafiqeena in shaaa'a aw yatooba 'alaihim; innal laaha kaana Ghafoorar Raheemaa

That Allah may reward the men of Truth for their Truth, and punish the Hypocrites if that be His Will, or turn to them in Mercy: for Allah is Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful.

وَرَدَّ اللّٰهُ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِغَیْظِهِمْ لَمْ یَنَالُوْا خَیْرًا وَكَفَی اللّٰهُ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ الْقِتَالَ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ قَوِیًّا عَزِیْزًا ۟

Wa raddal laahul lazeena kafaroo bighaizihim lam yanaaloo khairaa; wa kafal laahul mu'mineenal qitaal; wa kaanal laahu Qawiyyan 'Azeezaa

And Allah turned back the Unbelievers for (all) their fury: no advantage did they gain; and enough is Allah for the believers in their fight. And Allah is full of Strength, able to enforce His Will.

وَاَنْزَلَ الَّذِیْنَ ظَاهَرُوْهُمْ مِّنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ مِنْ صَیَاصِیْهِمْ وَقَذَفَ فِیْ قُلُوْبِهِمُ الرُّعْبَ فَرِیْقًا تَقْتُلُوْنَ وَتَاْسِرُوْنَ فَرِیْقًا ۟

Wa anzalal lazeena zaaha roohum min Ahlil Kitaabi min sa yaaseehim wa qazafa fee quloobihimm mur ru'ba fareeqan taqtuloona wa taasiroona fareeqaaa

And those of the People of the Book who aided them - Allah did take them down from their strongholds and cast terror into their hearts. (So that) some ye slew, and some ye made prisoners.

وَاَوْرَثَكُمْ اَرْضَهُمْ وَدِیَارَهُمْ وَاَمْوَالَهُمْ وَاَرْضًا لَّمْ تَطَـُٔوْهَا وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرًا 

Wa awrasakum ardahum wa diyaarahum wa amwaalahum wa ardal lam tata'oohaa; wa kaanal laahu 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeeraa

And He made you heirs of their lands, their houses, and their goods, and of a land which ye had not frequented (before). And Allah has power over all things.

یٰۤاَیُّهَا النَّبِیُّ قُلْ لِّاَزْوَاجِكَ اِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ الْحَیٰوةَ الدُّنْیَا وَزِیْنَتَهَا فَتَعَالَیْنَ اُمَتِّعْكُنَّ وَاُسَرِّحْكُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِیْلًا ۟

Yaaa aiyuhan Nabiyyu qul li azwaajika in kuntunna turidnal hayaatad dunyaa wa zeenatahaa fata'aalaina umatti'kunna wa usarrihkunna saraahan jameela

O Prophet! Say to thy Consorts: "If it be that ye desire the life of this World, and its glitter,- then come! I will provide for your enjoyment and set you free in a handsome manner.

وَاِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ وَالدَّارَ الْاٰخِرَةَ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ اَعَدَّ لِلْمُحْسِنٰتِ مِنْكُنَّ اَجْرًا عَظِیْمًا ۟

Wa in kuntunna turidnal laaha wa Rasoolahoo wad Daaral Aakhirata fa innal laaha a'adda lil muhsinaati min kunna ajjran 'azeemaa

But if ye seek Allah and His Messenger, and the Home of the Hereafter, verily Allah has prepared for the well-doers amongst you a great reward.

یٰنِسَآءَ النَّبِیِّ مَنْ یَّاْتِ مِنْكُنَّ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُّبَیِّنَةٍ یُّضٰعَفْ لَهَا الْعَذَابُ ضِعْفَیْنِ وَكَانَ ذٰلِكَ عَلَی اللّٰهِ یَسِیْرًا ۟

Yaa nisaaa'an Nabiyyi mai yaati minkunna bifaa hishatim mubaiyinatiny yudaa'af lahal 'azaabu di'fain wa kaana zaalika 'alal laahi yaseera

O Consorts of the Prophet! If any of you were guilty of evident unseemly conduct, the Punishment would be doubled to her, and that is easy for Allah.

وَمَنْ یَّقْنُتْ مِنْكُنَّ لِلّٰهِ وَرَسُوْلِهٖ وَتَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا نُّؤْتِهَاۤ اَجْرَهَا مَرَّتَیْنِ وَاَعْتَدْنَا لَهَا رِزْقًا كَرِیْمًا ۟

Wa mai yaqnut minkunna lillaahi wa Rasoolihee wa ta'mal saalihan nu'tihaaa ajrahaa marratayni wa a'tadnaa lahaa rizqan kareema

But any of you that is devout in the service of Allah and His Messenger, and works righteousness,- to her shall We grant her reward twice: and We have prepared for her a generous Sustenance.

یٰنِسَآءَ النَّبِیِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَاَحَدٍ مِّنَ النِّسَآءِ اِنِ اتَّقَیْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَیَطْمَعَ الَّذِیْ فِیْ قَلْبِهٖ مَرَضٌ وَّقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوْفًا ۟

Yaa nisaaa'an Nabiyyi lastunna ka ahadim minan nisaaa'i init taqaitunna falaa takhda'na bilqawli fa yatma'al lazee fee qalbihee maradunw wa qulna qawlam ma'roofaa

O Consorts of the Prophet! Ye are not like any of the (other) women: if ye do fear (Allah), be not too complacent of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire: but speak ye a speech (that is) just.

وَقَرْنَ فِیْ بُیُوْتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِیَّةِ الْاُوْلٰی وَاَقِمْنَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتِیْنَ الزَّكٰوةَ وَاَطِعْنَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ اِنَّمَا یُرِیْدُ اللّٰهُ لِیُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ اَهْلَ الْبَیْتِ وَیُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِیْرًا ۟

Wa qarna fee bu yoo tikunna wa laa tabarrajna tabarrujal Jaahiliyyatil oolaa wa aqimnas Salaata wa aaateenaz Zakaata wa ati'nal laaha wa Rasoolah; innamaa yureedul laahu liyuzhiba 'ankumur rijsa Ahlal Bayti wa yutahhirakum tatheeraa

And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.

وَاذْكُرْنَ مَا یُتْلٰی فِیْ بُیُوْتِكُنَّ مِنْ اٰیٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَالْحِكْمَةِ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ لَطِیْفًا خَبِیْرًا 

Wazkurna maa yutlaa fee bu yootikunna min aayaatil laahi wal Hikmah; innal laaha kaana lateefan Khabeera

And recite what is rehearsed to you in your homes, of the Signs of Allah and His Wisdom: for Allah understands the finest mysteries and is well- acquainted (with them).

اِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِیْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمٰتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتِ وَالْقٰنِتِیْنَ وَالْقٰنِتٰتِ وَالصّٰدِقِیْنَ وَالصّٰدِقٰتِ وَالصّٰبِرِیْنَ وَالصّٰبِرٰتِ وَالْخٰشِعِیْنَ وَالْخٰشِعٰتِ وَالْمُتَصَدِّقِیْنَ وَالْمُتَصَدِّقٰتِ وَالصَّآىِٕمِیْنَ وَالصّٰٓىِٕمٰتِ وَالْحٰفِظِیْنَ فُرُوْجَهُمْ وَالْحٰفِظٰتِ وَالذّٰكِرِیْنَ اللّٰهَ كَثِیْرًا وَّالذّٰكِرٰتِ اَعَدَّ اللّٰهُ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةً وَّاَجْرًا عَظِیْمًا ۟

Innal muslimeena wal muslimaati wal mu'mineena wal mu'minaati walqaaniteena walqaanitaati wassaadiqeena wassaadiqaati wassaabireena wassaabiraati walkhaashi'eena walkhaashi'aati walmutasaddiqeena walmutasaddiqaati wassaaa'imeena wassaaa'imaati walhaafizeena furoojahum walhaafizaati waz zaakireenal laaha kaseeranw waz zaakiraati a'addal laahu lahum maghfiratanw wa ajran 'azeemaa

For Muslim men and women,- for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in Charity, for men and women who fast (and deny themselves), for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise,- for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward.

وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَّلَا مُؤْمِنَةٍ اِذَا قَضَی اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗۤ اَمْرًا اَنْ یَّكُوْنَ لَهُمُ الْخِیَرَةُ مِنْ اَمْرِهِمْ وَمَنْ یَّعْصِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلٰلًا مُّبِیْنًا ۟

Wa maa kaana limu'mininw wa laa mu'minatin izaa qadal laahu wa Rasooluhooo amran ai yakoona lahumul khiyaratu min amrihim; wa mai ya'sil laaha wa Rasoolahoo faqad dalla dalaalam mubeenaa

It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path.

وَاِذْ تَقُوْلُ لِلَّذِیْۤ اَنْعَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَاَنْعَمْتَ عَلَیْهِ اَمْسِكْ عَلَیْكَ زَوْجَكَ وَاتَّقِ اللّٰهَ وَتُخْفِیْ فِیْ نَفْسِكَ مَا اللّٰهُ مُبْدِیْهِ وَتَخْشَی النَّاسَ وَاللّٰهُ اَحَقُّ اَنْ تَخْشٰىهُ فَلَمَّا قَضٰی زَیْدٌ مِّنْهَا وَطَرًا زَوَّجْنٰكَهَا لِكَیْ لَا یَكُوْنَ عَلَی الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ حَرَجٌ فِیْۤ اَزْوَاجِ اَدْعِیَآىِٕهِمْ اِذَا قَضَوْا مِنْهُنَّ وَطَرًا وَكَانَ اَمْرُ اللّٰهِ مَفْعُوْلًا ۟

Wa iz taqoolu lillazeee an'amal laahu 'alaihi wa an'amta 'alaihi amsik 'alaika zawjaka wattaqil laaha wa tukhfee fee nafsika mal laahu mubdeehi wa takhshan naasa wallaahu ahaqqu an takhshaah; falammaa qadaa Zaidum minhaa wataran zawwajnaa kahaa likay laa yakoona 'alal mu'mineena harajun feee azwaaji ad'iyaaa'ihim izaa qadaw minhunna wataraa; wa kaana amrul laahi maf'oolaa

Behold! Thou didst say to one who had received the grace of Allah and thy favour: "Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah." But thou didst hide in thy heart that which Allah was about to make manifest: thou didst fear the people, but it is more fitting that thou shouldst fear Allah. Then when Zaid had dissolved (his marriage) with her, with the necessary (formality), We joined her in marriage to thee: in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in (the matter of) marriage with the wives of their adopted sons, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And Allah's command must be fulfilled.

مَا كَانَ عَلَی النَّبِیِّ مِنْ حَرَجٍ فِیْمَا فَرَضَ اللّٰهُ لَهٗ سُنَّةَ اللّٰهِ فِی الَّذِیْنَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَكَانَ اَمْرُ اللّٰهِ قَدَرًا مَّقْدُوْرَا ۟

Maa kaana 'alan nabiyyyi min harajin feemaa faradal laahu lahoo sunnatal laahi fil lazeena khalaw min qabl; wa kaana amrul laahi qadaram maqdooraa

There can be no difficulty to the Prophet in what Allah has indicated to him as a duty. It was the practice (approved) of Allah amongst those of old that have passed away. And the command of Allah is a decree determined.

ݹلَّذِیْنَ یُبَلِّغُوْنَ رِسٰلٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَیَخْشَوْنَهٗ وَلَا یَخْشَوْنَ اَحَدًا اِلَّا اللّٰهَ وَكَفٰی بِاللّٰهِ حَسِیْبًا ۟

Allazeena yuballighoona Risaalaatil laahi wa yakhshaw nahoo wa laa yakkhshawna ahadan illal laah; wa kafaa billaahi Haseebaa

(It is the practice of those) who preach the Messages of Allah, and fear Him, and fear none but Allah. And enough is Allah to call (men) to account.

مَا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ اَبَاۤ اَحَدٍ مِّنْ رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلٰكِنْ رَّسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِیّٖنَ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَیْءٍ عَلِیْمًا 

Maa kaana Muhammmadun abaaa ahadim mir rijaalikum wa laakir Rasoolal laahi wa Khaataman Nabiyyeen; wa kaanal laahu bikulli shai'in 'Aleema

Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things.

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللّٰهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِیْرًا ۟

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanuz kurul laaha zikran kaseera

O ye who believe! Celebrate the praises of Allah, and do this often;

وَّسَبِّحُوْهُ بُكْرَةً وَّاَصِیْلًا ۟

Wa sabbihoohu bukratanw wa aseela

And glorify Him morning and evening.

هُوَ الَّذِیْ یُصَلِّیْ عَلَیْكُمْ وَمَلٰٓىِٕكَتُهٗ لِیُخْرِجَكُمْ مِّنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَی النُّوْرِ وَكَانَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ رَحِیْمًا ۟

Huwal lazee yusallee 'alaikum wa malaaa'ikatuhoo liyukhrijakum minazzulumaati ilan-noor wa kaana bilmu'mineena Raheemaa

He it is Who sends blessings on you, as do His angels, that He may bring you out from the depths of Darkness into Light: and He is Full of Mercy to the Believers.

تَحِیَّتُهُمْ یَوْمَ یَلْقَوْنَهٗ سَلٰمٌ وَّاَعَدَّ لَهُمْ اَجْرًا كَرِیْمًا ۟

Tahiyyatuhum Yawma yalqawnahoo salaamunw wa a'adda lahum ajran kareemaa

Their salutation on the Day they meet Him will be "Peace!"; and He has prepared for them a generous Reward.

یٰۤاَیُّهَا النَّبِیُّ اِنَّاۤ اَرْسَلْنٰكَ شَاهِدًا وَّمُبَشِّرًا وَّنَذِیْرًا ۟

Yaaa aiyuhan Nabiyyu innaaa arsalnaaka shaahidanw wa mubashshiranw wa nazeeraa

O Prophet! Truly We have sent thee as a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and a Warner,-

وَّدَاعِیًا اِلَی اللّٰهِ بِاِذْنِهٖ وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِیْرًا ۟

Wa daa'iyan ilal laahi bi iznihee wa siraajam muneeraa

And as one who invites to Allah's (grace) by His leave, and as a lamp spreading light.

وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ بِاَنَّ لَهُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ فَضْلًا كَبِیْرًا ۟

Wa bashshiril mu'mineena bi annna lahum minal laahi fadlan kabeera

Then give the Glad Tidings to the Believers, that they shall have from Allah a very great Bounty.

وَلَا تُطِعِ الْكٰفِرِیْنَ وَالْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ وَدَعْ اَذٰىهُمْ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَی اللّٰهِ وَكَفٰی بِاللّٰهِ وَكِیْلًا ۟

Wa laa tuti'il kaafireena walmunaafiqeena wa da'azaahum wa tawakkal 'alallaah; wa kafaa billaahi Wakeelaa

And obey not (the behests) of the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and heed not their annoyances, but put thy Trust in Allah. For enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْۤا اِذَا نَكَحْتُمُ الْمُؤْمِنٰتِ ثُمَّ طَلَّقْتُمُوْهُنَّ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ تَمَسُّوْهُنَّ فَمَا لَكُمْ عَلَیْهِنَّ مِنْ عِدَّةٍ تَعْتَدُّوْنَهَا فَمَتِّعُوْهُنَّ وَسَرِّحُوْهُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِیْلًا ۟

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanooo izaa nakahtumul mu'minaati summa tallaqtu moohunna min qabli an tamas soohunna famaa lakum 'alaihinna min 'iddatin ta'taddoonahaa famatti'oohunna wa sarri hoohunna saraahan jameelaa

O ye who believe! When ye marry believing women, and then divorce them before ye have touched them, no period of 'Iddat have ye to count in respect of them: so give them a present. And set them free in a handsome manner.

یٰۤاَیُّهَا النَّبِیُّ اِنَّاۤ اَحْلَلْنَا لَكَ اَزْوَاجَكَ الّٰتِیْۤ اٰتَیْتَ اُجُوْرَهُنَّ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ یَمِیْنُكَ مِمَّاۤ اَفَآءَ اللّٰهُ عَلَیْكَ وَبَنٰتِ عَمِّكَ وَبَنٰتِ عَمّٰتِكَ وَبَنٰتِ خَالِكَ وَبَنٰتِ خٰلٰتِكَ الّٰتِیْ هَاجَرْنَ مَعَكَ وَامْرَاَةً مُّؤْمِنَةً اِنْ وَّهَبَتْ نَفْسَهَا لِلنَّبِیِّ اِنْ اَرَادَ النَّبِیُّ اَنْ یَّسْتَنْكِحَهَا خَالِصَةً لَّكَ مِنْ دُوْنِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا فَرَضْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ فِیْۤ اَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ اَیْمَانُهُمْ لِكَیْلَا یَكُوْنَ عَلَیْكَ حَرَجٌ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِیْمًا ۟

Yaaa aiyuhan Nabiyyu innaaa ahlalnaa laka azwaa jakal laatee aataiyta ujoora hunna wa maa malakat yameenuka mimmaaa afaaa'al laahu 'alaika wa banaati 'ammika wa banaati 'ammaatika wa banaati khaalika wa banaati khaalaa tikal laatee haajarna ma'aka wamra' atan mu'minatan inw wahabat nafsahaa lin Nabiyyi in araadan Nabiyyu ai yastan kihahaa khaalisatan laka min doonil mu'mineen; qad 'alimnaa maa faradnaa 'alaihim feee azwaajihim wa maa malakat aimaanuhum li kailaa yakoona 'alaika haraj; wa kaanal laahu Ghafoorar Raheema

O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated (from Makka) with thee; and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her;- this only for thee, and not for the Believers (at large); We know what We have appointed for them as to their wives and the captives whom their right hands possess;- in order that there should be no difficulty for thee. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

تُرْجِیْ مَنْ تَشَآءُ مِنْهُنَّ وَتُـْٔوِیْۤ اِلَیْكَ مَنْ تَشَآءُ وَمَنِ ابْتَغَیْتَ مِمَّنْ عَزَلْتَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَیْكَ ذٰلِكَ اَدْنٰۤی اَنْ تَقَرَّ اَعْیُنُهُنَّ وَلَا یَحْزَنَّ وَیَرْضَیْنَ بِمَاۤ اٰتَیْتَهُنَّ كُلُّهُنَّ وَاللّٰهُ یَعْلَمُ مَا فِیْ قُلُوْبِكُمْ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلِیْمًا حَلِیْمًا ۟

Turjee man tashaaa'u minhunna wa tu'weee ilaika man tashaaa'u wa manibta ghaita mimman 'azalta falaa junaaha 'alaik; zaalika adnaaa an taqarra a'yunuhunna wa laa yahzanna wa yardaina bimaa aataitahunna kulluhunn; wal laahu ya'lamu maa fee quloo bikum; wa kaanal laahu 'Aleeman haleemaa

Thou mayest defer (the turn of) any of them that thou pleasest, and thou mayest receive any thou pleasest: and there is no blame on thee if thou invite one whose (turn) thou hadst set aside. This were nigher to the cooling of their eyes, the prevention of their grief, and their satisfaction - that of all of them - with that which thou hast to give them: and Allah knows (all) that is in your hearts: and Allah is All-Knowing, Most Forbearing.

لَا یَحِلُّ لَكَ النِّسَآءُ مِنْ بَعْدُ وَلَاۤ اَنْ تَبَدَّلَ بِهِنَّ مِنْ اَزْوَاجٍ وَّلَوْ اَعْجَبَكَ حُسْنُهُنَّ اِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ یَمِیْنُكَ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ رَّقِیْبًا 

Laa yahillu lakan nisaaa'u mim ba'du wa laaa an tabaddala bihinna min azwaajinw wa law ajabaka husnuhunna illaa maa malakat yameenukk; wa kaanal laahu 'alaa kulli shai'ir Raqeeba

It is not lawful for thee (to marry more) women after this, nor to change them for (other) wives, even though their beauty attract thee, except any thy right hand should possess (as handmaidens): and Allah doth watch over all things.

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَدْخُلُوْا بُیُوْتَ النَّبِیِّ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ یُّؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ اِلٰی طَعَامٍ غَیْرَ نٰظِرِیْنَ اِنٰىهُ وَلٰكِنْ اِذَا دُعِیْتُمْ فَادْخُلُوْا فَاِذَا طَعِمْتُمْ فَانْتَشِرُوْا وَلَا مُسْتَاْنِسِیْنَ لِحَدِیْثٍ اِنَّ ذٰلِكُمْ كَانَ یُؤْذِی النَّبِیَّ فَیَسْتَحْیٖ مِنْكُمْ وَاللّٰهُ لَا یَسْتَحْیٖ مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَاِذَا سَاَلْتُمُوْهُنَّ مَتَاعًا فَسْـَٔلُوْهُنَّ مِنْ وَّرَآءِ حِجَابٍ ذٰلِكُمْ اَطْهَرُ لِقُلُوْبِكُمْ وَقُلُوْبِهِنَّ وَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ اَنْ تُؤْذُوْا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ وَلَاۤ اَنْ تَنْكِحُوْۤا اَزْوَاجَهٗ مِنْ بَعْدِهٖۤ اَبَدًا اِنَّ ذٰلِكُمْ كَانَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ عَظِیْمًا ۟

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tadkhuloo bu yootan Nabiyyi illaaa ai yu'zana lakum ilaa ta'aamin ghaira naazireena inaahu wa laakin izaa du'eetum fadkhuloo fa izaa ta'imtum fantashiroo wa laa mustaaniseena lihadees; inna zaalikum kaana yu'zin Nabiyya fa yastahyee minkum wallaahu laa yastahyee minal haqq; wa izaa sa altumoohunna mataa'an fas'aloohunna minw waraaa'i hijaab; zaalikum atharu liquloobikum wa quloobihinn; wa maa kaana lakum an tu'zoo Rasoolal laahi wa laaa an tankihooo azwaajahoo mim ba'diheee abadaa; inna zaalikum kaana 'indal laahi 'azeema

O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses,- until leave is given you,- for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah's sight an enormity.

اِنْ تُبْدُوْا شَیْـًٔا اَوْ تُخْفُوْهُ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَیْءٍ عَلِیْمًا ۟

In tubdoo shai'an aw tukhfoohu fa innal laaha kaana bikulli shai'in 'Aleemaa

Whether ye reveal anything or conceal it, verily Allah has full knowledge of all things.

لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَیْهِنَّ فِیْۤ اٰبَآىِٕهِنَّ وَلَاۤ اَبْنَآىِٕهِنَّ وَلَاۤ اِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَاۤ اَبْنَآءِ اِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَاۤ اَبْنَآءِ اَخَوٰتِهِنَّ وَلَا نِسَآىِٕهِنَّ وَلَا مَا مَلَكَتْ اَیْمَانُهُنَّ وَاتَّقِیْنَ اللّٰهَ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ شَهِیْدًا ۟

Laa junaaha 'alaihinna feee aabaaa'ihinna wa laaa abnaaa'ihinna wa laaa ikhwaanihinnna wa laaa abnaaa'i ikhwaanihinna wa laaa abnaaa'i akhawaatihinna wa laa nisaaa'i hinna wa laa Maa malakat aimaanuhunn; wattaqeenal laah; innal laaha kaana 'alaa kulli shai'in Shaheedaa

There is no blame (on these ladies if they appear) before their fathers or their sons, their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the (slaves) whom their right hands possess. And, (ladies), fear Allah; for Allah is Witness to all things.

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ وَمَلٰٓىِٕكَتَهٗ یُصَلُّوْنَ عَلَی النَّبِیِّ یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا صَلُّوْا عَلَیْهِ وَسَلِّمُوْا تَسْلِیْمًا ۟

Innal laaha wa malaaa'i katahoo yusalloona 'alan Nabiyy; yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo salloo 'alaihi wa sallimoo tasleemaa

Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect.

اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ یُؤْذُوْنَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ لَعَنَهُمُ اللّٰهُ فِی الدُّنْیَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ وَاَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا مُّهِیْنًا ۟

Innal lazeena yu'zoonal laaha wa Rasoolahoo la'anahumul laahu fid dunyaa wal Aakhirati wa a'adda lahum 'azaabam muheenaa

Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment.

وَالَّذِیْنَ یُؤْذُوْنَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتِ بِغَیْرِ مَا اكْتَسَبُوْا فَقَدِ احْتَمَلُوْا بُهْتَانًا وَّاِثْمًا مُّبِیْنًا 

Wallazeena yu'zoonal mu'mineena wal mu'minaati bighairi mak tasaboo faqadih tamaloo buhtaananw wa ismam mubeenaa

And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, bear (on themselves) a calumny and a glaring sin.

یٰۤاَیُّهَا النَّبِیُّ قُلْ لِّاَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنٰتِكَ وَنِسَآءِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ یُدْنِیْنَ عَلَیْهِنَّ مِنْ جَلَابِیْبِهِنَّ ذٰلِكَ اَدْنٰۤی اَنْ یُّعْرَفْنَ فَلَا یُؤْذَیْنَ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِیْمًا ۟

Yaaa aiyuhan Nabiyyu qul li azwaajika wa banaatika wa nisaaa'il mu'mineena yudneena 'alaihinna min jalaabee bihinn; zaalika adnaaa ai yu'rafna falaa yu'zain; wa kaanal laahu Ghafoorar Raheemaa

O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

لَىِٕنْ لَّمْ یَنْتَهِ الْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ وَالَّذِیْنَ فِیْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ وَّالْمُرْجِفُوْنَ فِی الْمَدِیْنَةِ لَنُغْرِیَنَّكَ بِهِمْ ثُمَّ لَا یُجَاوِرُوْنَكَ فِیْهَاۤ اِلَّا قَلِیْلًا ۟

La'il lam yantahil munaafiqoona wallazeena fee quloobihim maradunw walmur jifoona fil madeenati lanughri yannaka bihim summa laa yujaawiroonaka feehaaa illaa qaleela

Truly, if the Hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and those who stir up sedition in the City, desist not, We shall certainly stir thee up against them: Then will they not be able to stay in it as thy neighbours for any length of time:

مَّلْعُوْنِیْنَ اَیْنَمَا ثُقِفُوْۤا اُخِذُوْا وَقُتِّلُوْا تَقْتِیْلًا ۟

Mal'ooneena ainamaa suqifoo ukhizoo wa quttiloo taqteelaa

They shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain (without mercy).

سُنَّةَ اللّٰهِ فِی الَّذِیْنَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللّٰهِ تَبْدِیْلًا ۟

Sunnatal laahi fil lazeena khalaw min qablu wa lan tajida lisunnatil laahi tabdeelaa

(Such was) the practice (approved) of Allah among those who lived aforetime: No change wilt thou find in the practice (approved) of Allah.

یَسْـَٔلُكَ النَّاسُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ قُلْ اِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَمَا یُدْرِیْكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ تَكُوْنُ قَرِیْبًا ۟

Yas'alukan naasu 'anis Saa'ati qul innamaa 'ilmuhaa 'indal laah; wa maa yudreeka la'allas Saa'ata takoonu qareebaa

Men ask thee concerning the Hour: Say, "The knowledge thereof is with Allah (alone)": and what will make thee understand?- perchance the Hour is nigh!

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَعَنَ الْكٰفِرِیْنَ وَاَعَدَّ لَهُمْ سَعِیْرًا ۟

Innal laaha la'anal kaafireena wa a'adda lahum sa'eeraa

Verily Allah has cursed the Unbelievers and prepared for them a Blazing Fire,-

خٰلِدِیْنَ فِیْهَاۤ اَبَدًا لَا یَجِدُوْنَ وَلِیًّا وَّلَا نَصِیْرًا ۟

Khaalideena feehaaa abadaa, laa yajidoona waliyyanw wa laa naseeraa

To dwell therein for ever: no protector will they find, nor helper.

یَوْمَ تُقَلَّبُ وُجُوْهُهُمْ فِی النَّارِ یَقُوْلُوْنَ یٰلَیْتَنَاۤ اَطَعْنَا اللّٰهَ وَاَطَعْنَا الرَّسُوْلَا ۟

Yawma tuqallabu wujoohuhum fin Naari yaqooloona yaa laitanaaa ata'nal laaha wa ata'nar Rasoolaa

The Day that their faces will be turned upside down in the Fire, they will say: "Woe to us! Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger!"

وَقَالُوْا رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّاۤ اَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَآءَنَا فَاَضَلُّوْنَا السَّبِیْلَا ۟

Wa qaaloo Rabbanaaa innaaa ata'naa saadatanaa wa kubaraaa'anaa fa adalloonas sabeelaa

And they would say: "Our Lord! We obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us as to the (right) Path.

رَبَّنَاۤ اٰتِهِمْ ضِعْفَیْنِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَالْعَنْهُمْ لَعْنًا كَبِیْرًا 

Rabbanaaa aatihim di'fai ni minal 'azaabi wal'anhum la nan kabeera

"Our Lord! Give them double Penalty and curse them with a very great Curse!"

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَكُوْنُوْا كَالَّذِیْنَ اٰذَوْا مُوْسٰی فَبَرَّاَهُ اللّٰهُ مِمَّا قَالُوْا وَكَانَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَجِیْهًا ۟

Yaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa takoonoo kalla zeena aazaw Moosaa fa barra ahul laahu mimma qaaloo; wa kaana 'indal laahi wajeehaa

O ye who believe! Be ye not like those who vexed and insulted Moses, but Allah cleared him of the (calumnies) they had uttered: and he was honourable in Allah's sight.

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَقُوْلُوْا قَوْلًا سَدِیْدًا ۟

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanut taqul laaha wa qooloo qawlan sadeedaa

O ye who believe! Fear Allah, and (always) say a word directed to the Right:

یُّصْلِحْ لَكُمْ اَعْمَالَكُمْ وَیَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوْبَكُمْ وَمَنْ یُّطِعِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِیْمًا ۟

Yuslih lakum a'maalakum wa yaghfir lakum zunoobakum; wa mai yuti'il laaha wa Rasoolahoo faqad faaza fawzan 'azeemaa

That He may make your conduct whole and sound and forgive you your sins: He that obeys Allah and His Messenger, has already attained the highest achievement.

اِنَّا عَرَضْنَا الْاَمَانَةَ عَلَی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَالْجِبَالِ فَاَبَیْنَ اَنْ یَّحْمِلْنَهَا وَاَشْفَقْنَ مِنْهَا وَحَمَلَهَا الْاِنْسَانُ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ ظَلُوْمًا جَهُوْلًا ۟

Innaa 'aradnal amaanata 'alas samaawaati walardi wal jibaali fa abaina ai yahmil nahaa wa ashfaqna minhaa wa hamalahal insaanu innahoo kaana zalooman jahoolaa

We did indeed offer the Trust to the Heavens and the Earth and the Mountains; but they refused to undertake it, being afraid thereof: but man undertook it;- He was indeed unjust and foolish;-

لِّیُعَذِّبَ اللّٰهُ الْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ وَالْمُنٰفِقٰتِ وَالْمُشْرِكِیْنَ وَالْمُشْرِكٰتِ وَیَتُوْبَ اللّٰهُ عَلَی الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتِ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِیْمًا 

Liyu 'azzibal laahul munaafiqeena wal munaafiqaati walmushrikeena wal mushrikaati wa yatoobal laahu 'alal mu'mineena walmu'minaat; wa kaanal laahu Ghafoorar Raheema

(With the result) that Allah has to punish the Hypocrites, men and women, and the Unbelievers, men and women, and Allah turns in Mercy to the Believers, men and women: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
