Surah Ghafar (The Forgiver), Verse 85

فَلَمْ یَكُ یَنْفَعُهُمْ اِیْمَانُهُمْ لَمَّا رَاَوْا بَاْسَنَا سُنَّتَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِیْ قَدْ خَلَتْ فِیْ عِبَادِهٖ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ 

Falam yaku yanfa 'uhum eemaanuhum lammaa ra-aw ba'sana sunnatal laahil latee qad khalat fee 'ibaadihee wa khasira hunaalikal kaafiroon

“But their professing the Faith when they (actually) saw Our Punishment was not going to profit them. (Such has been) Allah's Way of dealing with His Servants (from the most ancient times). And even thus did the Rejecters of Allah perish (utterly)!”
