Surah Al-Mai'dah (The Spread Table), Verse 52

فَتَرَی الَّذِیْنَ فِیْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ یُّسَارِعُوْنَ فِیْهِمْ یَقُوْلُوْنَ نَخْشٰۤی اَنْ تُصِیْبَنَا دَآىِٕرَةٌ فَعَسَی اللّٰهُ اَنْ یَّاْتِیَ بِالْفَتْحِ اَوْ اَمْرٍ مِّنْ عِنْدِهٖ فَیُصْبِحُوْا عَلٰی مَاۤ اَسَرُّوْا فِیْۤ اَنْفُسِهِمْ نٰدِمِیْنَ ۟

Fataral lazeena fee quloobihim maraduny yusaari'oona feehim yaqooloona nakhshaaa an tuseebanaa daaa'irah; fa'asallaahu ai yaatiya bilfathi aw amrim min 'indihee fa yusbihoo 'alaa maaa asarroo feee anfusihim naadimeen

“Those in whose hearts is a disease - thou seest how eagerly they run about amongst them, saying: "We do fear lest a change of fortune bring us disaster." Ah! perhaps Allah will give (thee) victory, or a decision according to His will. Then will they repent of the thoughts which they secretly harboured in their hearts.”
