Surah Al-Hadid (The Iron), Verse 10

وَمَا لَكُمْ اَلَّا تُنْفِقُوْا فِیْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ وَلِلّٰهِ مِیْرَاثُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ لَا یَسْتَوِیْ مِنْكُمْ مَّنْ اَنْفَقَ مِنْ قَبْلِ الْفَتْحِ وَقٰتَلَ اُولٰٓىِٕكَ اَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً مِّنَ الَّذِیْنَ اَنْفَقُوْا مِنْ بَعْدُ وَقَاتَلُوْ وَكُلًّا وَّعَدَ اللّٰهُ الْحُسْنٰی وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِیْرٌ 

Wa maa lakum allaa tunfiqoo fee sabeelil laahi wa lillaahi meeraasus samaawaati wal-ard; laa yastawee minkum man anfaqa min qablil fat-hi wa qaatal; ulaaa'ika a'zamu darajatam minal lazeena anfaqoo min ba'du wa qaataloo; wa kullanw wa'ad allaahul husnaa; wallaahu bimaa ta'maloona Khabeer

“And what cause have ye why ye should not spend in the cause of Allah?- For to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent (freely) and fought, before the Victory, (with those who did so later). Those are higher in rank than those who spent (freely) and fought afterwards. But to all has Allah promised a goodly (reward). And Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.”
