Surah Al-A'raf (The Heights), Verse 101

تِلْكَ الْقُرٰی نَقُصُّ عَلَیْكَ مِنْ اَنْۢبَآىِٕهَا وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَیِّنٰتِ فَمَا كَانُوْا لِیُؤْمِنُوْا بِمَا كَذَّبُوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ كَذٰلِكَ یَطْبَعُ اللّٰهُ عَلٰی قُلُوْبِ الْكٰفِرِیْنَ ۟

Tilkal quraa naqussu 'alaika min ambaaa'ihaa; wa laqad jaaa'at hum Rusuluhum bilbaiyinaati famaa kaanoo liyu'minoo bimaa kazzaboo min qabl; kazaalika yatba'ul laahu 'alaa quloobil kaafireen

“Such were the towns whose story We (thus) relate unto thee: There came indeed to them their messengers with clear (signs): But they would not believe what they had rejected before. Thus doth Allah seal up the hearts of those who reject faith.”
