Al-Mursalat

وَالْمُرْسَلٰتِ عُرْفًا ۟

Wal mursalaati'urfaa

By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit);

فَالْعٰصِفٰتِ عَصْفًا ۟

Fal'aasifaati 'asfaa

Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts,

وَّالنّٰشِرٰتِ نَشْرًا ۟

Wannaashiraati nashraa

And scatter (things) far and wide;

فَالْفٰرِقٰتِ فَرْقًا ۟

Falfaariqaati farqaa

Then separate them, one from another,

فَالْمُلْقِیٰتِ ذِكْرًا ۟

Falmulqiyaati zikra

Then spread abroad a Message,

عُذْرًا اَوْ نُذْرًا ۟

Uzran aw nuzraa

Whether of Justification or of Warning;-

اِنَّمَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ لَوَاقِعٌ ۟

Innamaa too'adoona lawaaqi'

Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass.

فَاِذَا النُّجُوْمُ طُمِسَتْ ۟

Fa izam nujoomu tumisat

Then when the stars become dim;

وَاِذَا السَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ ۟

Wa izas samaaa'u furijat

When the heaven is cleft asunder;

وَاِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ ۟

Wa izal jibaalu nusifat

When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust;

وَاِذَا الرُّسُلُ اُقِّتَتْ ۟

Wa izar Rusulu uqqitat

And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);-

لِاَیِّ یَوْمٍ اُجِّلَتْ ۟

Li ayyi yawmin ujjilat

For what Day are these (portents) deferred?

لِیَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ ۟

Li yawmil Fasl

For the Day of Sorting out.

وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا یَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ ۟

Wa maaa adraaka maa yawmul fasl

And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out?

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ ۟

Wailuny yawma 'izillilmukazzibeen

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

اَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْاَوَّلِیْنَ ۟

Alam nuhlikil awwaleen

Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)?

ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْاٰخِرِیْنَ ۟

Summa nutbi'uhumul aakhireen

So shall We make later (generations) follow them.

كَذٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِیْنَ ۟

Kazzalika naf'alu bilmujrimeen

Thus do We deal with men of sin.

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ ۟

Wailunw yawma 'izil lil mukazzibeen

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

اَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُّمْ مِّنْ مَّآءٍ مَّهِیْنٍ ۟

Alam nakhlukkum mimmaaa'im maheen

Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?-

فَجَعَلْنٰهُ فِیْ قَرَارٍ مَّكِیْنٍ ۟

Faja'alnaahu fee qaraarim makeen

The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed,

اِلٰی قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍ ۟

Illaa qadrim ma'loom

For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)?

فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقٰدِرُوْنَ ۟

Faqadarnaa fani'mal qaadiroon

For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things).

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ ۟

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth!

اَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْاَرْضَ كِفَاتًا ۟

Alam naj'alil arda kifaataa

Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together.

اَحْیَآءً وَّاَمْوَاتًا ۟

Ahyaaa'anw wa amwaataa

The living and the dead,

وَّجَعَلْنَا فِیْهَا رَوَاسِیَ شٰمِخٰتٍ وَّاَسْقَیْنٰكُمْ مَّآءً فُرَاتًا ۟

Wa ja'alnaa feehaa rawaasiya shaamikhaatinw wa asqainaakum maaa'an furaataa

And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)?

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ ۟

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

اِنْطَلِقُوْۤا اِلٰی مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ ۟

Intaliqooo ilaa maa kuntum bihee tukazziboon

(It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false!

اِنْطَلِقُوْۤا اِلٰی ظِلٍّ ذِیْ ثَلٰثِ شُعَبٍ ۟

Intaliqooo ilaa zillin zee salaasi shu'ab

"Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns,

لَّا ظَلِیْلٍ وَّلَا یُغْنِیْ مِنَ اللَّهَبِ ۟

Laa zaleelinw wa laa yughnee minal lahab

"(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze.

اِنَّهَا تَرْمِیْ بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ ۟

Innahaa tarmee bishararin kalqasr

"Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts,

كَاَنَّهٗ جِمٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ ۟

Ka annahoo jimaalatun sufr

"As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)."

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ ۟

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazibeen

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

هٰذَا یَوْمُ لَا یَنْطِقُوْنَ ۟

Haazaa yawmu laa yantiqoon

That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak.

وَلَا یُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَیَعْتَذِرُوْنَ ۟

Wa laa yu'zanu lahum fa ya'taziroon

Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas.

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ ۟

Wailunw yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

هٰذَا یَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنٰكُمْ وَالْاَوَّلِیْنَ ۟

Haaza yawmul fasli jama 'naakum wal awwaleen

That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)!

فَاِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَیْدٌ فَكِیْدُوْنِ ۟

Fa in kaana lakum kaidun fakeedoon

Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me!

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ 

Wailuny yawma'izil lilmukazzibeen

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

اِنَّ الْمُتَّقِیْنَ فِیْ ظِلٰلٍ وَّعُیُوْنٍ ۟

Innal muttaqeena fee zilaalinw wa 'uyoon

As to the Righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water).

وَّفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا یَشْتَهُوْنَ ۟

Wa fawaakiha mimmaa yashtahoon

And (they shall have) fruits,- all they desire.

كُلُوْا وَاشْرَبُوْا هَنِیْٓـًٔا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ۟

Kuloo washraboo haneee 'am bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

"Eat ye and drink ye to your heart's content: for that ye worked (Righteousness).

اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِی الْمُحْسِنِیْنَ ۟

Innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen

Thus do We certainly reward the Doers of Good.

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ ۟

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmuzkazzibeen

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

كُلُوْا وَتَمَتَّعُوْا قَلِیْلًا اِنَّكُمْ مُّجْرِمُوْنَ ۟

Kuloo wa tamatta'oo qaleelan innakum mujrimoon

(O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners.

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ ۟

Wailunny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

وَاِذَا قِیْلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوْا لَا یَرْكَعُوْنَ ۟

Wa izaa qeela lahumur ka'oo laa yarka'oon

And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so.

وَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ ۟

Wailunny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

فَبِاَیِّ حَدِیْثٍ بَعْدَهٗ یُؤْمِنُوْنَ 

Fabi ayyi hadeesim ba'dahoo yu'minoon

Then what Message, after that, will they believe in?
