Al-Ma'un

اَرَءَیْتَ الَّذِیْ یُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّیْنِ ۟

Ara 'aytal lazee yukazzibu biddeen

Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)?

فَذٰلِكَ الَّذِیْ یَدُعُّ الْیَتِیْمَ ۟

Fazaalikal lazee yadu'ul-yateem

Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),

وَلَا یَحُضُّ عَلٰی طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِیْنِ ۟

Wa la yahuddu 'alaa ta'aamil miskeen

And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.

فَوَیْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّیْنَ ۟

Fa wailul-lil musalleen

So woe to the worshippers

الَّذِیْنَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُوْنَ ۟

Allazeena hum 'an salaatihim saahoon

Who are neglectful of their prayers,

الَّذِیْنَ هُمْ یُرَآءُوْنَ ۟

Allazeena hum yuraaa'oon

Those who (want but) to be seen (of men),

وَیَمْنَعُوْنَ الْمَاعُوْنَ 

Wa yamna'oonal maa'oon

But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs.
