Surah Fusilat (The Verses Prefectly Explained), Verse 15

فَاَمَّا عَادٌ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا فِی الْاَرْضِ بِغَیْرِ الْحَقِّ وَقَالُوْا مَنْ اَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً اَوَلَمْ یَرَوْا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ الَّذِیْ خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ اَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَكَانُوْا بِاٰیٰتِنَا یَجْحَدُوْنَ ۟

Fa ammaa 'Aadun fastak baroo fil ardi bighairul haqqi wa qaaloo man ashaddu minnaa quwwatan awalam yaraw annal laahal lazee khalaqahum Huwa ashaddu minhum quwwatanw wa kaanoo bi Aayaatinaa yajhadoon

“Now the 'Ad behaved arrogantly through the land, against (all) truth and reason, and said: "Who is superior to us in strength?" What! did they not see that Allah, Who created them, was superior to them in strength? But they continued to reject Our Signs!”
