Surah Fusilat (The Verses Prefectly Explained), Verse 25

وَقَیَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَآءَ فَزَیَّنُوْا لَهُمْ مَّا بَیْنَ اَیْدِیْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَحَقَّ عَلَیْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ فِیْۤ اُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا خٰسِرِیْنَ 

Wa qaiyadnaa lahum quranaaa'a fazaiyanoo lahum maa baina aideehim wa maa khalfahum wa haqqa 'alaihimul qawlu feee umamin qad khalat min qablihim minal jinni wal insi innahum kaanoo khaasireen

“And We have destined for them intimate companions (of like nature), who made alluring to them what was before them and behind them; and the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, who have passed away, is proved against them; for they are utterly lost.”
